Who We Are

Community Partner Support

At Bear Root Resource Center, we are fortunate to collaborate with individual community members, key partners and organizations that are aligned with our vision and values to fulfill our Mission which aims to S.H.I.F.T. the narrative to Support, Heal, Inspire, Fulfill, and  Transform individual lives and communities in all 4 directions.  Together we are teaching people how to be in relationship with land and connect to their roots, and our innovative programs will shape and shift us into our collective bright future.  We are determined to protect all that is sacred for our future 7 generations.  We appreciate our  Partnership long-term relationships that go beyond financial support to help build, empower, strengthen, and make more resilient communities.  We value the commitment to collaborate on innovative ideas,  in-kind resources, volunteer power, and raising awareness to our combined audience to help solve local and global important matters.

Gratitude For Our Reciprocity Community Partners Collaboration!

We value and honor collaboration that is rooted in reciprocity, and builds a lifetime commitment to uplift mutually aligned values that are dedicated to protect all that is sacred.  We appreciate our Reciprocity Community Partners who collaborate with u to support our programs, workshops, events and projects.

A "Reciprocal Exchange" which bears responsibility to any individual(s) when you access a sacred space.  When you share a meaningful connection, there is a mutual understanding to treat each other with respect.  A Reciprocal Exchange should not be confused with a Western view of money that implies ownership.

It is good to consider that a Reciprocal Exchange to be a sacred currency that allows mutual consent to share a sacred resource, in exchange for access, which requires you to share something in return to trade with, and is considered to be equal or greater than monetary currency.  This is both decolonizing business practice and restoring traditional trade commerce.

Gratitude For Financial Support From our Partner Funders!

We are applying for our first round of grants and look forward to long-term relationships to make a positive impact in our community.  We are grateful to our funders who will partner with us to offer financial support for our work to provide both program and unrestricted general operating support,  allowing us to continually serve Indigenous, Black, and Brown communities through our programs and grow our organization and the work we do. This space is a visual acknowledgment to the ongoing support and the deep relationships that have grown from these partnerships.

Stronger Together

Our Community Alliances & Resources

We uplift the important work that social justice and environmental justice community leaders, and organizations are advocating to empower and improve the lives of our community members.  We value the direct action and policy work from dedicated individuals who work to improve equitable access to opportunities for education, health, housing, human services, workforce development, youth development, and other ways that we can build stronger and more resilient communities together.
