Scope of Work
Bear Roots Resource Center aims to S.H.I.F.T. the narrative to Support, Heal, Inspire, Fulfill, and Transform individual lives and communities in all 4 directions, as we build an innovative network through shared resources to create a circular economy that encourages a more sustainable world. We are teaching people how to be in relationship with land and connect to their Ancestral roots; and our innovative programs will shape and shift us into our collective bright future.
BEAR ROOT RESOURCE CENTER ECOLOGICAL & CULTURAL PRESERVATION 2030 PRIORITY
We have multi-benefit projects with two distinct paths to protect our community:
1. We are building community through our S.H.I.F.T programs. We teach people to be in relationship with land and connect to their roots. Our local Resource center will address 21% of vulnerable populations needs within the North San Francisco Bay Area which builds community care through cultural and wellness programs.
2. We are uniting people to overcome and thrive in response to the local and global impacts of climate change and broken systems that perpetuate harm in our most vulnerable communities. Our 2nd phase will create Emergency Response Shelter space within our Resource Center(s) to prepare and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
