Navajo (Diné) & Samoan, Board Circle Treasurer, Bear Root Resource Center
Yá’át’ééh & Talofa lava (hello). I bring a dynamic blend of professional expertise, cultural heritage, and personal dedication to my role as Treasurer for the Bear Root Resource Center. With a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Portland and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bacone College, where I excelled as a student-athlete on a volleyball scholarship, My academic background is complemented by my extensive experience in project management, financial oversight, and strategic initiatives.
Growing up on the Navajo Reservation and as someone proudly both Navajo and Samoan, I am deeply connected to my Indigenous roots and committed to empowering my community. My mission in life is to “Bridge the Gap,” fostering equity and opportunity in areas such as water rights and suicide awareness. My professional journey includes roles at Sony Music Entertainment and The Orchard, where I contributed to marketing and international label management, as well as her current position as a Project Manager at Tricolors, where she leads strategic marketing initiatives.
As Treasurer, I will leverage my keen financial management skills, attention to detail, and integrity to support the Bear Root Resource Center's mission. I also serve as a role model for culturally responsive leadership, drawing on my experiences mentoring Indigenous youth and facilitating programs with American Indigenous Business Leaders (AIBL).
When I am not leading community initiatives, I enjoy volleyball, horseback riding, and spending time with my family—including my four younger siblings. My personal story reflects my dedication to service, my connection to the land and people, and my passion for making a meaningful impact.
